New except it's been dropped. It works perfectly. I tested it. I put new batteries in it and paired it with my phone. The sound is great. There is something rattling around inside that must have broken when it was dropped. That sounds like a small piece of plastic. Does not affect the performance at all. There are pictures of the "damage," which is nothing but cosmetic and barely noticeable. This was never used before I got it at an estate sale. I was the first to put batteries in it.
